The 1988 season saw the closest competition in NHRA Championship Drag Racing history up to that point. Every team struggled to try and dominate in the then three professional classes. If you were a professional drag racer- 1988 was a year of living on the edge. Gene Snow shattered the four second barrier but it was Eddie Hill who did him one better by running an incredible 4.93. Joe Amato, Gene Snow, Darrell Gwynn and Eddie Hill in Top Fuel were in a 280 MPH shootout for the World Championship. Bob Glidden held off Warren Johnson and Butch Leal to clinch his ninth Pro Stock title. Don “The Snake” Prudhomme was back to prove his dominance in Funny Car to fellow competitors Kenny Bernstein, Mark Oswald and John Force at the sixteen national events. It’s all here in one amazing video NHRA Drag Racing 88.
NHRA Drag Racing 88 is approximately 120 minutes.
